This painting was a commissioned piece for my dear friend, Judy. During our conversation, she expressed her desire for bright, happy colors and a love for flowers, leaving the rest to my artistic interpretation. Understanding Judy as a person was essential; she embodies qualities that many aspire to emulate—strength, resilience, intelligence, and natural healing tendencies. Beyond her remarkable attributes, she brings spontaneity and joy to every interaction, lighting up any room she enters. It was imperative for me to create a piece that honored her spirit.

As you gaze upon this painting, the vibrant colors and flowers appear to bloom right off the canvas. Dominating the composition is the striking red Dahlia, a flower that symbolizes perseverance, strength, and confidence—qualities that Judy embodies with grace.

The palette includes deep cobalt blue and serene light blue, evoking feelings of peace and tranquility. Accents of bright yellow bring a cheerful energy, representing happiness and joy, with a nod to Japanese culture where yellow also symbolizes courage.
